Rudy Bettmann, Real Estate Broker, Bettmann Real Estate
A Realtor® since 1990, Rudy Bettmann learned about the Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD) through handling real estate transactions for the organization. When approached about sitting on the MHCD's board of directors, he eagerly accepted.
Bettmann believes that every individual, the community as a whole, and the legislative body can work together to serve the severely mentally ill. He is proud to be part the MHCD board and hopes his participation helps educate and assist more of those who need the organization's services.
A naturalized citizen originally from Germany, Bettmann grew up in Kansas. He received his BS in business administration from Regis University and his MA in curriculum and instruction from Colorado Christian University .
Before beginning his career in real estate, Bettmann spent 23 years in the funeral home business, 13 of which he owned and operated his own funeral home. Bettmann also teaches part-time in the Mortuary Science program at Arapahoe Community College
Rudy has two daughters and three grandchildren. After refereeing soccer for 30 years, he is now a national referee assessor for the United States Soccer Federation and is also a coach/mentor for referees officiating in Major League Soccer. Bettmann has served on the MHCD board since March, 2006
