Pamela Hovik, Internal Audit Operations Manager, Qwest Communications International

Pamela Hovik grew up on the East Coast but has spent the majority of her time as a career woman in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado. After graduating college, Hovik was a department manager for retail clothing stores and managed a number of natural foods stores. Upon receiving her MBA, with concentrations in finance and human resource management, she went to work in the telecommunications industry and has remained in that industry for over 20 years. Since 1998, she has served as the Operations Manager of Internal Audits for Qwest Communications.

Hovik recognizes the importance that quality mental healthcare makes in ensuring that everyone can become a valuable member of society. When invited to be a member of the Mental Health Center of Denver board of directors, she welcomed the opportunity to be part of an organization that administers to those in need of mental health services. She looks forward to the time when the agency has the funds to reach even more people.

Passionate about travel, Hovik and her husband have been to Europe every year for the past three years. They're also trying to visit every state in the US and have come close to meeting this goal. She loves to cook and entertain. Hovik is the vice chair of the MHCD board and has served on the board since January 2004.
