The CIPS team is comprised of licensed psychologists and doctorate level clinicians who have extensive training in behavioral medicine, psychological assessment, Therapeutic Assessment, and consultation-liaison work.
Additionally, all evaluators come to The Center for Integrated Psychological Services at MHCD with a wide variety of therapeutic skills and experiences, including individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Well-grounded therapeutic skills are one important aspect of the psychological assessment experience. By utilizing therapeutic skills during the assessment process, clients have a unique experience that hopefully has a profound impact on their lives.
The general treatment philosophy of The Center for Integrated Psychological Services at MHCD is strengths-based, utilizing empathic, solution-focused techniques to empower clients to improve their quality of life. Using integrative, evidence-based methods, clients may explore and confront their life challenges, with the end goal of moving them toward positive change.
The Center for Integrated Psychological Services at MHCD prides itself on promoting higher education and providing first-class training for students working toward doctorate degrees in psychology in APA accredited programs. The CIPS extensive training program is recognized for its professionalism and integrity. Students are selected from hundreds of applicants each year and undergo a rigorous selection process. Those who have a specialty interest in psychological assessment participate in services provided at The Center for Integrated Psychological Services at MHCD. All of their work is closely supervised by a licensed psychologist.
