Join the CHAMPS: Caring Hands and Minds Providing Support


Mission Statement:
To work in a collaborative partnership between MHCD staff, volunteers, and consumers so that the best services possible are delivered to our consumers to promote and support recovery.

Who Can Volunteer?

Any person may apply to become a CHAMPS volunteer!*

What Kinds Of Jobs Can Volunteers Do? 
  • Gardening and Landscaping
  • Help with filing, answering phones, typing, organizing within a department
  • Help consumers plan and cook a special meal.  Italian comes to mind . . .
  • Meet a consumer at the store for dress for success day
  • Help a consumer get involved in the community
  • Assist with special projects in your area
  • Provide art or special interest classes for consumers
  • Help Child and Family give out awards on Fun Fridays!
  • Assist in resume writing
  • Help out in our consumer run café

*MHCD reserves the right to determine if a person meets necessary standards to be accepted as a MHCD CHAMPS volunteer.  In order to insure safety of our consumers, all volunteer applicants need to have a background check along with other organizational requirements.
