Dr. LaGanga Wins Award for Article

Linda LaGanga, Ph.D., Director of Quality Systems and Operational Excellence, won an award from the journal Decision Sciences for the best article published in the journal in 2007. The premise of the article, “Clinic Overbooking to Improve Patient Access and Provider Productivity,” is that no-shows are harmful because they reduce the number of consumers who can be served and that the decision about whether to overbook to compensate for no-shows must carefully consider both the positive and negative impacts. Overbooking could increase access to services but it should be avoided if it would do more harm than good. Click on her name to contact Dr. LaGanga for more information.
