Employer Benefits

2Succeed in Employment is a long-term resource for businesses needing job applicants with a variety of qualifications from clerical to engineering. It is the 2Succeed in Employment mission to provide job ready applicants matched to employer needs. Placements are free for paid positions, volunteer jobs, and work trials. Federal tax credits and trial work periods can save an employer money as well as provide time for the employer and employee to work together as a team. See below to submit an opening.

Up to Three Month Placements Paid By 2Succeed

For specific training, 2Scceed will work with businesses to set up temporary placements that fill employer needs while providing candidates with experience in their field of interest. Work experiences of up to three months can be paid by 2Succeed and are wonderful opportunities for employers to work with candidates before permanent hire.

Skills training

2Succeed in Employment works with a large network of education resources. Training refines existing skills and develops new ones to suit a consumer's strengths and employment goals. Our sister service 2Succeed in Education is a comprehensive and vigorous training program. Read about 2Succeed in Education for the complete program description and course calendar.

On the Job Coaching and Ongoing Support

Skill development prior to placement are only preliminary services. During a work experience, or after permanent placement, “on the job coaching” services are available for all of our clients. No matter what the issue, a job coach will arrive on site to answer questions, help develop alternative solutions, or to help train.

No matter how long a candidate has been permanently placed, 2Succeed guarantees to provide ongoing support needed to maintain optimal employer satisfaction. If at any point the staffed employee is in need of support, including but not limited to skills training, symptom management, or on the job coaching, 2Succeed job developers and coaches are available.

Federal Tax Credits

An employer may take a tax credit of up to 40% of the first $6,000, or up to $2,400 in wages paid during the first 12 months for each new hire. Go to the U.S. Department of Labor website for more information.

Support with American Disabilities Act (ADA) Questions and Accountability

The American Disabilities Act (ADA) is a civil rights law enacted to protect people with disabilities against discrimination in the workforce. The law ensures that qualified individuals with disabilities have the same opportunity to apply for and achieve gainful employment. It is important that employers understand their own rights and responsibilities, in addition to being clear on their responsibilities in protecting those already employed and those applying with disabilities.

Support With Current Staff Suffering Symptoms of Mental Illness

According to the Surgeon General, "One out of every five Americans will suffer from mental illness this year" (Satcher, 2005). Most companies have employees that suffer from a mental disability, but many don't know what regulations or responsibilities they have to that individual. Additionally, due to the heavy stigma attached to mental illness and the lack of education around it, many employers are unsure what to do when an employee becomes symptomatic. 2Succeed will support and educate employers on what to do and how to support individuals with a mental disability, to maintain retention and ensure productivity is continued.
