Wishing Well Enterprises Resource Center offers a safe, welcoming environment of social and vocational programs for people recovering from psychiatric illness. Individuals participate in programs they choose to best support wellness. Work, recreation, and filling personal needs help create opportunities for those with psychiatric disabilities to have rich, productive lives.

Resource Center Programs

The Drop-In Center

The Center is a safe and welcoming place for socializing, entertainment, recreation, and arts and crafts. The Center meets the needs of individuals who prefer flexible, unstructured schedules. Consumers who visit may choose to be alone, interact with others, or have coffee and snacks in a home-like, relaxed setting.

The Resource Shoppe and Donation Center

The Resource Shoppe gathers furniture, clothing, food, and household items from community groups, businesses and private donors. MHCD clients can shop for what they need free of charge. The Shoppe is open Monday through Thursday from 10am to 2pm. The consumer Food Bank is open 8am to noon on Friday.

Employment Services Program

Many paid employment opportunities are available for clients. Work teams provide essential services to MHCD such janitorial, landscaping, moving, repair, and transportation services. Consumers are encouraged to move into competitive employment when they are ready.

Benefits Management

The Benefits Management Team provides support and technical assistance to those eligible for a wide array of benefits. The Team assists consumers to apply for Social Security and other benefits they may be eligible for such as SSI, SSDI, Child's Benefits as well as QMB, Food Stamps and Aid for the Needy and Dependent (AND). If necessary, consumers are connected with an attorney for appeal process. All appointments are held at the Benefits Team office with phone connections to a local Social Security office

Client Trust Fund

The Client Trust Fund (CTF) is a non-clinical team which provides payeeship services to more than 550 consumers. The CTF strives to move consumers toward financial independence while managing consumer funds in a way that best meets their needs. The CTF adheres to the MHCD recovery model by encouraging consumers to be involved in their finances, act independently, and advocate for their own needs. Advisors set up a budget for each consumer, pay consumers' rent and bills, and process checks for consumer personal needs. CTF advisors also manage Social Security paperwork. Read the details.
