Deaf Counseling
In response to a critical need in the community, MHCD created a counseling team to provide outpatient mental health care for deaf and hard of hearing children, adolescents and adults residing in the Denver Metro area. The cultural traditions and beliefs of the deaf and hard of hearing communities are integrated into this program. The staff is skilled in a range of communication modalities utilized by the Deaf and hard of hearing.

- Psychiatric crisis/urgent services
- Psychiatric evaluation/medication follow-up
- Individual, group and family therapy
- Case management
- Psycho-education and supportive groups by special arrangement
- Community outreach
- Consultation and education
- Access to residential and inpatient treatment
- Interpreter services
