A
ccess Center – MHCD Initial point of contact
- The Mental Health Center of Denver Access Center is the first point of contact and the center of all the resources MHCD has to offer.
- This is where you find out if you or someone you are referring from the community is eligible for MHCD services.
- The Access Center staff provides telephone screening to obtain necessary demographic, financial and clinical information to determine eligibility.
- The Access Center staff provides community referrals to those who do not qualify for services at MHCD.

Access Center staff and hours
- Access Center is staffed by 4 Master Level clinicians.
- Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm.
- One staff member is bilingual in Spanish.
- This team uses e-mail, TTY and sign language interpreters to communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing community.
